The Tram was set in support in 1992 on regular gauge monitor with modern day vehicles, connecting Sirkeci with Topkapi. The line was extended on just one end from Topkapi to Zeytinburnu in March 1994 and, on another close from Sirkeci to Eminönü in April 1996.
